ChromeStats allows you to quickly inspect Chrome extension source codes. You can view source codes directly on ChromeStats. We beautify JSON, HTML, JS, and CSS files, and enable syntax highlighting for you. We also render image files directly on ChromeStats for quick analysis.
Additionally, you can diff against an older Chrome extension version to see what has changed. This allows you to quickly determine if a new version is safe or not. We will highlight the changed lines, and collapse the large chunks of unchanged lines so you can focus only on the differences.
The ability to quickly examine source codes and diffing between two versions will allow you to quickly determine if an extension might have sneaked in some malicious codes and what changes are made, so you can decide if the new version is safe to use or not.
Free users will be able to inspect the source code of the latest version. Paid users will be able to inspect older versions as well as diffing against two versions.
